In January 2018 ICDS Constructors Ltd. commenced work as Sub Contractor to Skanska Slussen Construction AB for the Concrete Work on the Slussen redevelopment project in Stockholm.
Slussen originally built in 1642, is the lock that separates the Baltic sea from the fresh water of Lake Mälaren.
This project marks a unique moment in Stockholm’s history as work starts on the redevelopment in the heart of the historic city and its archipelago. The construction of the New Slussen is one of the largest urban transformation projects in Sweden. This SEK 12 Billion (+ - €1.25 Billion) project seeks to create a dynamic urban quarter, responding to its historic context and transforming the city centre.
